Default Chevy Colorado, what's the word?

I have a 2003 Silverado and I'm thinking of getting a Colorado crew cab. I test drove one and it seemed like a really nice truck! Anyone own one and can tell me how they like it? Thank you!

about all i know is GM designed them to pull only 2 jet ski's or a trailor with a lawn mower and such on it. nothing fancy nor powerfull. my suggestion would be to find a 4.8 or 5.3 and slap that down in there. that would make for a nice sleeper..

They seem small and cheap to me. Plus they can't haul or tow anything. Something that calls itself a truck and can't do the most mundane truck-like things, well....

It feels like the reason for the existence of the Colorado is to make money for GM, not deliver value for the customer. That's the main reason I don't like it.

I like the trucks a lot. A friend of mine has one that looks like a 7/8 scale version of my truck.

He's got the I5. It goes pretty good. 21mpg just about everywhere. It hauls everything he needs to. The ride is on the soft side, but it sits nice and there isn't a ton of body roll.

If I were looking to get a bran new midsized truck, it would be in this order:

Colorado
Dakota (because of the V8)
Toyota Tacoma

I like the interior a lot more than another friends '03 Taco. The Taco gets up and boogies a little quicker than I think the Colorado does. The Dodges are okay, I rented a Durango for a week and it was nice having an 8 cylinder in a smaller package like that. They handle well.
