Default cleaning k&n

Is there a good way to clean a k&n filter without wasting money on their recharge kit?

the re-charge kit is only like $10 and it has the filter oil with it which is neccessary for the filter to work properly.

I don't see how $10.00 is wasting money when it can be cleaned 6-8 times with the recharge kit.
Man.... your a cheap one!

I tried soap and water, dish soap, laundry soap, Lestoil.....etc
Nothing works as good as the recharge cleaning fluid in the kit...period
As far as I know anyways.

409, works great. But you will need the oil lol, so buy the recharge kit, or buy an oil free filter like I bought.

Just go to any auto parts store; they should have it for $9.99. I got mine from O'Reilly's but I think others carry it. I have a MAC intake but it uses a K&N filter and the recharge kit works great. Just make sure its good and dry before re-installing it.
