Default Cold Air Question

My dad has a 2002 Sierra, he wanted to know which cold air to get.

I suggested Volant, he has been deliberating between the regular volant and the one with the "ram air" scoop that hangs where the tow hooks are.... Does anyone have this, and is it worth the extra price?

What are your recommedations?

I have the Volant w/o the tube. I've heard some horror stories of the tube falling off - I like just the intake - woke up the truck a bit for sure. I'd get just get the intake w/o the tube - I'm not convinced the extra $$ for it is worth it.

Ya ... skip the tube .. some have said it's good for nothing but picking up more trash. Ram Air doesn't really work anyways. It takes something like 90mph to get minimal benefits from Ram Air. Besides that, any additional air flow would just go out the fender where the box is open on the side.
