I was doing some searching and saw a bunch of people running the low lift version. Also NicD said the high lift was a disaster in the 5.3 and 6.0, after seeing so few people running it I am beginning to wonder if there is something I don't know. Does anyone have any experience with this cam in a 6.0? If experience in a LQ9 that would be great. I picked one up thinking it would be a great mild cam to put in my wife's Yukon along with the LQ9 and should increase the power greatly over the 5.3 and have a nice huge power range. I just bought some LS6 spings today so if I didn't run this cam it would need to be something that would work with them. Thanks

I like mine runs great!
Only other cam i would even try would be a Vinci trucker 216/224

Why do more people run the low lift? I just want to make sure before I take the cam to the machine shop it isn't a mistake. The trucker cam I believe will lope too hard for my wife's taste

i wanna say it makes better torque
HP between the 2 wasnt much diff like 5hp diff if i remember correctly
there was a dyno chart comparing low vs high lift floating around here

I think that rule of thumb only applies to the 5.3. Shoud be a great cam in a mild 6.0.

I'm running a custom cam based on the high-lift version in my VHO and I love it! Only difference is my is a 212/220 at 114 degrees. It's got a little lope when cold but barely noticable after warmed up. Runs even better after I put the TVS1900 on top of it!

.558 int./.563 exh., (IIRC), same as stock hi-lift.

Oh and I'm running comp 918 strings too. With the ls6 spring rated at
.560/.570 lift depending on who you talk to, they don't leave much room for error.
