a 3000 stall will barely even be noticed in your truck. I would go with a 3000 and the bigger of the two cam choices. That and with 4.10's will still be able to pull stock pulling capacity and be able to spin the tires off the line.

That is what I was thinking/hoping-onebadrubi, but don't want to have all that work in it and not turn out the way I want.
ap2002, what motor did you have that 212/218 in and what did it sound like at idle?
Do yall know if the pacesetter longtubes and off road y pipe from texas speed will bolt in place of the factory stuff?
Thanks again for all the help

I am still wondering about the 216/220 cam because of what ap2002 said. For the motor to be where it's workin right I would need a 3200 stall converter, right? Does that mean it will be a turd until then with that cam? I was lookin for the "mild mannered driver" snake eater metioned. I do carry a four 4-wheeler in the bed sometimes and have had a ski boat behind the truck. I don't want to make it useless. Thanks for all the info.
Yah, it's a HD hood, I wish I would of done a complete HD front-end swap though... I like the 4.10 gears but I noticed a substantial fuel mileage drop when cruising above 75mph. Kinda makes hauling *** on the freeway a costly option... I got a four wheeler that goes in the bed quite often too, it should be just fine though...
