Question Comp Cams 222/224 .566"/.568" 112 LSA

How do you guys think this cam would do in my 5.3 advanced 4* along with some light headwork? I havn't really seen anyone post their results with anything bigger than the comp216/220 in a 5.3. Just wondering, even with it advanced, if it will retain enough lowend to be an efficient daily driver?

I did a 226 in my 5.3L

https://ls1tech.com/forums/showthrea...&highlight=226

Here is my dyno sheet before the new tuning

I just got some basic drivability tuning done and it feel much more consistant now and traps between 95-96mph everytime now. The best I could muster on the Z06 cam was 93mph. If I were not planning on a power adder or maybe the LS6 intake I would probably try advancing this cam a bit and see if I could get more midrange power in the 4k range. As of right now it is pretty sluggish till about 4.5-5krpm.

How about the Comp T-Rex cam. Im thinking of getting one of those to try out. Im sure it would suck in traffic though. But it would sound BAD.

idles pretty good actually once you get it smoothed out via a bigger hole in the blade, and some other tweaking. it's very nice. the TREX is what i'll be running in my 414, but on a 112 LSA. it's WAY to big for a 5.3

Mine idles perfect. Starts perfect and doesn't hunt at all.

Just some tuning with LS1 Edit and turnin the TB screw just a tiny bit.
