Comp Cams LSR 265LR HR12 Cam?
Does anyone have any info, or have used a cam in their truck with a similar grind? Comps site claims, very strong torque and excellent response and that it also works best in heavy, low RPM vehicles. I have an Avalanche and I'd say it's pretty heavy and it's not a high RPM screamer. Anyways I'm thinking about buying it. The specs are 215/223 .604/.610 112LSA, what do you guys think?

It will be OK as long as you are prepared to do the proper tuning to go along with the new cam. It will have more power in the higher rpm range than off the line grunt. Your TT3000 should help with that issue considerably. I've got a Comp 216/224-.551/.551-115 cam (same cam as the Vinci Trucker) going into my Avalanche today.

I definitely want to do heads later too. I just want a nice cam that I won't have to worry about changing for a while that while compliment a nice set of heads.

You'll likely get a crank position sensor light if you buy a new pcm. Then you'll have to have someone do a crank relearn; the dealer will charge around $90 to do that. You can get around doing this if you send Nelson your pcm and let them put the tune in it but that means you have to do without your truck for a while.
