i ran this cam 3 years ago,i was actually the first to put it in a LS lol..it was a 4.8....the cam sounded very nice and turned heads but did not perform very well..u need atleast a 4,000 stall and 410s or 456s..brakes would lock up as well.heres my truck

Yes Ls6 springs would work but there are much better cam choices out there.

Keeps the ls6 and upgrade the heads. Greymatter's truck is running strong with the ls6 cam

I'd probably get a 220/220 over the thumpr also.

I have the tsp 220/220 here is 2 clips for the Original Poster, as I am sure he hasn't seen them.

I agree that the 220R would be the better performer, as from what we have seen the Thumper cams add mostly a crazy lope, but little performance (which is fine, if that is your goal).

jrmchevyman, what exhaust are you running? That 220 sounds awesome in your truck.

I also ran ths cam and loved it, however had brake issues due to low vacuum at idle.

What issues did you have?

This camshaft had -4* overlap, with a good tune, there shouldn't be any issues.

Thanks Jake, I am running OBX long tubes with the fake cats / resonators, then Y pipe to corsa db black series muffler.
