convert 4L80 4X4 to 2WD?? How hard?

Default convert 4L80 4X4 to 2WD?? How hard?

If I found a 6.0 4L80 combo that is 4X4 how hard is it to convert to 2WD? How much?

be cheaper to just trade it with someone who has a 2wd one. But if you don't want to do that, all you need to do is change the tailhousing from what I understand but to do that you have to take the tranny apart.

if you really want to do this it'd be easier to pick up a 2wd 4L80, cross member and a drive shaft, sell all the 4x4 stuff and get some of your money back. if you find good deals and wait for the right buyers then you can probably come out ahead.

I think the 4x4's are more expensive anyways.

Thx for the responses guys!! I'll wait til I find a 2WD tranny and engine then. I've seen 6.0 4L80 combo's for $1800, but they're 4X4.....I want 2WD it's a prerunner
