.02 cents on the cooling system... I have it machine flushed every 40,000 miles... With dexcool approved coolant.. I use an additive like purple ice or water wetter... Every 3 months...And 3 trucks 100,000+ miles, never once had a failure with anything cooling related.. Nothing...

Do you have electric fans?If so if you dont change the fan settings the thermostat wont make a difference.
