when i got my truck last year it was doing this exact same thing, the previous owner had also switched to green from orange... after some snooping around on here and reading about sludge i took the radiator out and had it rotted out. sure enough the guy said a good bit of it was plugged up. all was fine for the rest of that summer. until recently that is... but now i have it narrowed down to a bad fan clutch. anyway in summation id have it rotted out,its cheaper than a fan clutch. unless yours is completely sloppy like mine and an obvious problem. hope this helps

Good info. I bet it's either the radiator or the fan clutch.

Well I am going to say that I am about 99.9% sure it is the fan clutch. Now I guess I pay 69.99 + tax for a clutch or do the E-FANS what do you think I should do I am still going to boil out the radiator and clean up they whole system but like I said the Clutch is the problem (I think) will see!

I just did the 05 efans last weekend and I love em...which means that I also have the old fan clutch that I removed when I did em. Too bad you're all of the way over in Houston (I'm in Jersey)
