Default Corsa compared to Magnaflow Pics and Video

Well I got the Corsa system on today.

The packaging for the Corsa was much better than the Magnaflow packaging.
MF came all in one box, the tip and tha muffler had a small amount of bubble wrap around them. The padding inside the box was several layers of heavy paper. The box was badly out of shape and torn when I got it.One corner ripped and tape torn, pipes could almost fall out. The muffler and tip were both dented.
Corsa came in 2 boxes. Muffler in 1 and pipes and tip in the other. The tip was in it's own box inside the pipe box, and surrounded by expanded foam and wrapped in plastic. the pipes were pretty well surrounded by expanded foam. The pipe box had one torn corner. The muffler was inside of some cardboard that was fitted to it's shape. Only an OK packing job, but zero damage to it. Corsa system was mint when received.

The Corsa fit perfectly, the Magnaflow fit perfectly also.

The MF came with chrome plated U-bolt muffler clamps. The Corsa came with heavy gauge stainless steel band clamps. Corsa also included anti-sieze for the threads on the clamps.
The MF tip is nicely welded all the way around . Corsa tips are only partially welded to the Y, and that gets clamped onto the pipe.

I noticed that the flange for each system was a little different. The MF pipe is fit inside of the flange, so that there is an edge for the exhaust to get past that is smaller than 3". The Corsa pipe is expanded to fit to the outside of the flange so that it is never smaller than 3".

I gotta go now. I'll add more later

I don't have a MF to compare to, but the only dissapointment I had with the corsa was the weld on the y-pipe before the muffler. It had some slag or something was visable on the inside. Not much effort to file it down though.

Good vids man! Thanks for posting! What else do you have besides the catback? Headers? Cats? It seems loud in the video for just a catback so if thats what everyone considers a "little quiet", ill be fine with that.

Yep, it's quiet.
Well these trucks are quiet in general when you're in the drivers seat.
Try to compare the other sounds in the vids to the exhaust sounds.
There are some road noises to compare to.
Both systems are not much louder than stock.
Should be perfect with the headers on.

that was my opinion, my future plans ought to make if purr nicely

those pictures make a nice comparison, I can't watch the videos from where I am currently.

I noticed this:
the Magnaflow has an offset inlet, which requires less of a straight pipe from the y-pipe to the muffler, I find that odd when you would think they want it with as few bends as possible.
