Corsa with LTs and ORY rasp problem solved
If you don't know yet, this combo will create an incredibly loud metallic rasp/rapping sound. Much worse than the typical header sound. On my truck, it would start at around 2800rpm even with very little throttle.
I decided to get a perforated core/insulation packed muffler to add to the system. This type of muffler is known for reducing higher frequencies.
I settled on a stainless magnaflow 6" round X 14" core, 3" in/out.
It is the largest I could fit in the I-pipe.
When I got the muffler, I immediately replaced the corsa muffler with it, to see how it would work on the rasp.
The truck was LOUD and DEEP, but it dampened the rasp pretty well. I was able to rev to 4000 rpm with little throttle and not get the rasp. When WOT it would rasp, but it was muffled pretty good.
After driving it like this on the freeway, and confirming the worst drone I've ever heard would show up, I had to complete the conversion.
So I cut the I-pipe, and installed the Mag muffler and put everything back together. Fired it up.....
Quiet, mellow, pretty much sounds like stock.
Driving around it is very mellow until you get into it, and it lets you know it's not stock above 3500rpm, but with just a hint of rasp, it sounds similar to how it did before the LTs/ORY went on.
Nearly silent on the freeway. NO DRONE. AND, the "header noise" that seems to come right through the primaries, is reduced quite a bit.
I am very happy with this setup, it's quieter than I expected, but now I can *** around without getting the wrong attention.
I know this idea is not new (add a resonator to help the rasp) But, I wanted to share exactly what I did to help any others with this setup.
Pics and video to come soon.

How long over all is your resonator? Part # and cost if it isn't too much trouble. I've found a stainless one made by vibrant performance that's 14" long. Costs $83 + shipping. Not much room under a reg cab short box. Thanks

They're on sale at performancepeddler right now for $57.89 shipped.
They also carry a 4 inch diameter with the same length, and some other lengths too.
You could cut off 1.5 inches of the pipe from each end if you need it a little shorter.

Finally a little update.
This topic keeps coming up so here are some pics and clips.
My other video files were too big, I'll post some more later.

Thanks man, I actually only paid about $60 for the stainless mag muff.
I really wanted the largest resonator I could get.
I dunno for sure, but I would think this is quieter than a bullet.
Here's a little idle/rev clip. the freeway traffic is almost louder than my truck.
I'll get another clip in a quiet area sometime.
