Well, I've been thinkin' a lot about the billet with the 1-2 upshift. Well, when you install the TransGo you can tune the shift firmness to your desired levels with the drill bits. Basically, a bigger hole equals a firmer shift.

When I get my converter installed, I plan to get a hardened TransGo plate and see how this works out. A 5/64" is ~.078" and a 9/128" is ~.070" for the 1-2 feed hole...I'm probably going to go with the ~.070" hole and see how that feels. I will have all the apply capacity of the billets (yes I have both) but without the associated firmness of a feedhole that is too large.

I hope that will equalize out how the 1-2 and 2-3 shift feel...so they feel the same.

I'm going to fart with a few check ***** in the VB also to see how that effects stuff. Mainly I'm going to block the 4th accumulator to keep all the fluid to the 2-4 band in 4th, toss the one in the input shaft, one that causes the delay between R and D/P, and probably block the one to the 3-4 pack to elminate any potential hyd circuit leaks.

YES, swap all the plastic crap outta the VB that you can. 1-2 and 3-4 accumulators and that Fwd one in the VB itself.

with that 3000 stall he's running, billets shouldn't make it shift too hard.

That TT3k is a pretty large diameter unit too...around 11". It's not going to be as soft as a PI or comparable 9.5-10" unit when it comes to the upshifts.

Is Superior the only company that makes billet OD servos?

Do the servos extend or shorten the life of your tranny? I am looking at the billet servo, not the OD billet servo though.

Yup, Superior's brand Fairbanks is the only one.

I don't see it shortening the life unless your shifts are too firm.

What about supercharged trucks? The billets claim to hold with more force, but is the vette strong enough?
