Has anyone installed the rocker arms off a Corvette? Just wondering if they would help over stock on a 5.3. Tbyrne was telling me the SLP Roller Rockers have given guys about 15hp over stock but i'm not lookin to spend quite that much?

 

the rockers on a corvetter are the same thing as what's on your 5.3, the only reason the SLP rockers would help performance is because they are a 1.8 ratio, where stock is 1.7 thus increasing lift of the cam.

that's true...i was thinkin of some of the comp and y/t rockers that are 1.8, and red, what do you mean one size longer??? are you thinking of pushrods or something?

 

So, the rollers on the Vette are 1.85?

 

nevermind, i was readin it over and toms talkin about the SLP's not the Vettes.

if you're gonna spend that kind of money just go ahead and get a cam and some springs....about the same cost wise, but just a little more intense install. and you're gonna have to change springs either way.

 

Ment like 1.7 to 1.8
