Default Corvette Servo Question

Just a thought. Is there any benefit to putting in the Corvette 1-2 servo (and/or other billet servos) and no shift kit? I am about to have my tranny filter and fluid changed and since I have it down there I'm thinking about other work. I will probably change the plastic accumulators out for sure. I have been thinking about the Transgo, but I'm afraid it will effect the driveability of the truck. It is the primary vehicle for the family and I don't want to hear any "Whats wrong with the truck?" comments because it is shifting too hard. BTW tranny has 75,000 miles on it. Thanks.

Yes, the vette servo will change the 1-2 shift even without a kit.
A guy was riding with me for the first time, and as I was pulling onto the road and it shifted, he said, "Man this thing shifts pretty quick."

It's a nice shift IMO.

well i believe that when you install a shift kit it itself raises pressure. if you are running a stock tranny i think they tuen it up a little.

You can install just the Corvette servo, but you run the risk of a 3-2 downshift "clunk". TransGo addresses this concern in their kit.
You can install the TransGo kit without it shifting to hard, its all in how you set it up.
