Stroker kits are expensive...you can get a 6L cheaper.

im sure those 317s are helping you on that motor unless u plan on doin FI. Id lose those and get u some 243 milled down to bump your compression up. what else is done to it??

What yr truck are you working on? In sure you dropped a **** load of compression putting on 317. Save your self te hassle and buy a 6.0. A stroker kit will be pricey once u factor in machine work

What are you wanting to stroke it to? You can get a 5.3 crank and rods fairly cheap, then you'll have a flat top piston 5.3L. Swap the 317's with some 243's for a 9.9:1 CR 5.3, or mill them .030 for a 10.5:1 (roughly, probably closer to 10.3:1) 5.3L.

Other than that... I'd go with what everyone else is saying and swap in a 6.0, cheaper than a stroker kit and unlocks more power to be had via mods.

True3" dual. Eaton posi 4.10 rear/4.10 front. Transmission cooler.dyno tune. I'm riding on 285 70 17s. Not sure about getting a torque converter though. Cus I use my four wheel driveeven though I heard.i could use a 3000 stall safely. As far as stroking it I'm open to suggestions. Thanks for the responses.

Before i would stroke a 4.8 i would buy a turbo kit for it since u have 317s for lower comp. Or buy an lq4/lq9 shortblock and use your heads/cam and the rest of your parts. U could be seein 350-380 rwhp on a 6.0
