Default cottmans fix for the transmission

well since he couldnt figure out what was killing my trans. his fix was to make it to where the trans does not shift hard at all. not even a little thump. no firm shifts or anything. shifts like it did when it was stock. got me a little pissed off seeing how i dumped 2300 dollars for a trans that shifts soft. oh and the 2-1 down shift seems to slip real bad. not really slip but kinda fall into first and then slide into second. gonna take it back to him tomorrow and see what the hell is going on. when i picked it up he was like let me know if we need to tone it down...... hell tone it down!!!!!!!! it needs to be firmed up a bit. i would hate to see what his diffinition of a soft shift is.

oh and to boot my exhaust has a big hole in it where the hanger supports the pipe. seems to me he pried on the exhaust to get the trans out and busted it. Not really a big deal except for the ghetto sounding exhaust. but cant get it fixed untill probably sat. or even monday. unless someone around me has a tig welder i can borrow.

I'd be walkin in there and snatchin the biggest wrench I could see and getting some money back. I've followed this crap you've had, let him give you your cash back, and take that damn thing down the road.

hey daniel, have they flushed the converter at all? if so, do they do it everytime it breaks. cause i wonder if parts are in the converter and somehow come back to the tranny. just a thought..

well, the reason i say that is cause, when kenny exploded his tranny, they (if i remember correctly) wouldn't put the yank back in cause they think it was contaminated with parts. so he has to have his flushed. if they never did yours, then that could be a major problem as to why the tranny doesn't last. seems logical
