The header wrap traps moisture and causes premature break down of the coatings and corrosion.
I guess T303/304 headers are the only way to go then. True stainless will not corrode. Anything that is magnetic steel derived will corrode no matter what coating it has on it. Also, most headers are not coated inside, so the coating on the outside just makes them look pretty, until the rust eats through from within. Oh well you get what you pay for, and sometimes you don't.

The TOG are one of the thickest headers on the market ...

They warranty you if you are blown, most others don't, but they still don't want you to wrap them.

Moisture on the outside of the pipe, between the tape and header? How can it be there long enough to start corrosion? Unless you only drive your truck occasionally moisture will burn off in about a minute when the vehicle is running. Hmmmmmm
