The ac will not cool if you don't have fresh air flowing across the condenser...you gotta make sure that you get at least 1 fan on high when the a/c compressor enguages. Once you start driving, the consenser gets good air flow, and that's why the a/c is fine on the move.

Where at in La? I'm in B.R.

I have to say thanks guys because I have been having the same problem for the past year or so. I have my fans activated by the computer my question is how can I get the fans to come on with the a/c? Can I hook a manual switch into the same location of the blue 42 wire (I think) to the relay?

this sounds really weird, how is the wiring any different from what is stock on a 05 truck... Bryan told me there is a way to patch the manual lead on his harness into something called the ac request line?? Anyone know what/where the hell that is???? Bueller???

Tap into Pcm wire going to pin 42 which is ground for fans.Run a switch inside truck and back to engine bay and ground it to alternator bracket.Turn on switch in traffic and fans will run countionously and will go to high speed every time ac cycles on.

This is exactly what I'm complaining about, who the hell wants this as a final setup, can you imagine me telling my wife she needs to do this after she cried about the real reason I was changing fans on my almost brand new truck to the tune of $600.. THe factory isn't doing this so whats the story???
