They probably charged those prices cause they will take the heads off, or say they will.

Damn, I'm on my way back to Florida. Wish this would have been sooner. I would have brought my tools and swung by and put that sucker in for you. 5 hours or less with a spring change included. Yes, use the pushrods, better insurance.

I know you know that's not needed. BUt he is right. The heads NEVER need to come off on a cam change, unless an uh-oh!!! happens, then you will be most likely pulling the oilpan instead. I would not pay over $550 for labor.

Thats what I was thinking..... around 500..... Is there anyone that can come do it Will pay 300 cash.... and food and all the beer you need.....
