Default D-MAX in a RCSB Truck, is it possible?

Would it be possible to fit a D-MAX in a RCSB truck with the Allison tranny? I wonder if anyone has done this already. You would have some massive torque in such a light truck (compared to the 2500), just think D-MAX in a RCSB with edge juice and turbo-back exhaust, traction would obviously be an issue.

It would be a very interesting combo, but I would imagine very expensive to do.I would think that you would have to gut almost every wire in the truck.

There was a post a while back showing a RCLB Diesel with the frame shortened. Some company was doing this on their project vehicle. Pretty sweet IMO. It still has most of the weight with the heavier supsension and all.

The engine might fit, but the allison transmission only likes to fit with the HD frame.

Besides that tossin in the DMax in the 1/2 ton would create all sorts of durability isses...the 3/4 ton has huge parts for a reason. Best idea is go with a RCLB and get the frame shortened or do an ECSB.

I think you'd at least need a body lift on the 1/2 ton to clear the Allison tranny....and about $15,000 in spare change to complete the transplant the right way !!!
