Default D-Max Straight Pipe...

I'm thinking about putting a stright pipe on my '03 D-Max. Can anyone vouch for what it will sound like. I want it louder, but not loud like my Camaro...14" turn-downs off the headers.

It'll be pretty loud when you get on it. Are you going to do a 4" turboback to the stock exit? I've heard a few dmax's like that and they sound wicked under WOT. Not too loud though.

From what I hear, going straight pipe but leaving the cat is fairly louder than stock. But once you remove the cat is when it gets really loud.

What's a turbo-back kit? I was just planning on dropping it off at my exhaust shop, and telling him to rip everything off and put a 4" pipe on there. It might cost me about $150.

Ok...what you want to know...I've heard with cat but no muffler and no muffler and no cat.

I can get you a video of a 4" turbo back without kitty and no muffler.

The no muffler but with the cat sounds good...not over loud. However, without the cat...its starts to get loud.
