Default damn headers hittin the frame

OK got the pacesetters lt's with y pipe. On the passenger side u can see where its hitting the frame. Sitting in my driveway its not on the frame probably could put 3-4 pieces of paper between it but when the truck turns or is sitting at a weird angle it starts hitting it and it's fuc*king annoying. So what are some methods or options i can do to get it away from the frame

That sucks man.

Try taking a pipe and " tweaking" them maybe ? Or tapping the rubbing spot with a hammer putting a small dent that will clear?

I just installed mine tonight and they fit perfect, no rubbing.

You could also maybe put a wrap or two of header wrap in that area but it will eventually rub thru.

Return them and get another set. They were obviously made incorrectly.

stick a screwdriver in the gap and make the gap wider!! thats what i would do.. i promise you wont notcie a difference.... no one will probably ever even notice... when i put the 80e inn my y pipe was hitting the trans pan.. i pulled the y pipe and beat a flat spot on my y pipe where the trans pan was touching...

This is the best thing to do. I've had to do it with my Dynatechs as well. There is no reason to beat on the metal you just paid good money for.

I had the same problem with my obx's! I loosen my tranmission cross member & prided It over as for as I could & retighten the bolts while holding in place! Also check ur transmission mount it could be broken! Oh I also had to side my motor over! I guess after the swap it wasn't sitting right!
