Default DBW intake the same as cable operated?

I need an intake but I already have a DBW TB. Are the earlier intakes physically identical?

Thanks. I didn't want to buy an older one and not have it work with my DBW throttle body.

only difference is mounting plates for cable TB and cover, and the fuel system is different, but those can be swapped between all of the truck intakes.

they are different.
on a dbw intake there is a nipple on the intake to hook up the hose that comes from the passenger valve cover. on a cable intake there is no nipple so it goes to the tb.

Thank you, BlueCajun. I'll try to get one that's for a DBW setup to avoid any problems. That should be '03 and up, correct?

That's the straight up easiest way to get the right one, unless you get one from any of the earlier trucks that came with traction control, Denali's or Escalade's that also had DBW throttle bodies before '03.

Quick Reply: DBW intake the same as cable operated?
