DCC E-fan status light...
I busted my temp probe for my Delta Current Control fan controller, and I didn't realize it until I looked down and saw the temp gauge 'not where it should be'.
While I had the order in, I also got the little status LED that they sell. I just intalled it, and it's pretty dang cool.
It's three wires. Ground, Ignition-hot, and fan-controller output. It's a standard size looking LED mounted in a shiny aluminum colored housing that's a little bigger than the eraser on a pencil. I assume it can be hooked up to the FaL VSC just as easy as the DCC ones.
I popped a hole in a blank panel on my dash, and ran the wires in. The wires are on the shorter side of things, and they were just about a perfect reach to my controller location right on the firewall side of the fuse-box.
When the fans are off, the LED is green. As they start to turn on, the LED starts to fade from green to orange. Turn on the AC, which asks for about 'half power', and the LED goes to a deeper orange. Turn on the AC while the controller is running the fans, and it goes almost full-red.
I assume the FaL VSC is pretty obvious when it's working or when it's not... so you guys may not really need this. Still, it's a cool gadget that might be handy if you're worried about the status of your fans.
Just passing the info along...
Edit: Here are some pics.

It IS pretty neat.
I'm really willing to bet it would... all it does is sense up to 12V on that 'fan controller output' wire, and it changes color accordingly.
