Decisions decisions....
Ok I was just given a 5.3, it's completely apart, I was gunna make one of those tables with a engine block buuuutttt, he gave me what looks like everything but gaskets to put it back together..... So... I think I would rather build it and make a pretty wicked 5.3, I have a 2000 silverado with a 5.3 in it already, I plan on having a street/strip truck, I want to make 500rwhp, what would I have to do to make those kinds of numbers, I wanna do a different head but what's best for a 5.3? I also want to run the holly high ram, or fast lsxrt, also my fuel system as of now is 44# delphi's and walbro 255, would that be enough? And what are some other recommendations?? I'm open to ideas, I wanna make this power all motor, no turbo, no nitrous, let me kno what you guys think I could do with this and like I said I'm 100% open to suggeststions, thank you!!

A 500 rwhp n/a 5.3 will be a max effort build. More strip than street truck. Yes it could be driven on the street but it will be more at home on a track at WOT. I've never built one to that power level but here is what I've gathered from research over the years.
Hp numbers aren't everything! Yes they are a fun bragging right. But you have to be realistic and honest with yourself of what you REALLY want as an end goal. If you are REALLY wanting a street/ strip truck you really don't want just a dyno queen. You can have all the power in the world but if its not useable then there is no point. A 5.3 in a single cab with 350-400 usable hp can be a very fun truck on the street plus make some good passes at the strip. If it were me I'd build the 5.3 with a 220 to maybe 228 duration cam 3600 stall and 4.10-4.56 gears. obviously you will need more parts than just that but thats the basics. then get it to hook and you will have a fun truck for sure. I'm not knocking your original idea just offering my opinion and if you want 500 hp by all means build it.

No that's cool I'm open to whatever you guys suggest, this is my first build and I wanna do it nice and right, I wanna do a nice set of heads, I was thinking 241 heads, if I go that route put a 224 cam, and put some nice internals and stuff like that, in all reality, I would be happy with what you said txblue, I just want something to take to a local cruise with it thumping with a cam, then take it to a test n tune and beat the hell out of it, I just want it to run good and make good power and like I said be fun! Cause I'm one of those people that don't let the vehical just sit I love to get it put and drive it like I stole it

A 224 cam on a 112 lsa in a 5.3 will give you plenty of thump. And a good choice for what you are looking for. I didn't mention it but plan on getting some long tube headers. It's all in the complete combination that will make all the parts work well together. Cam/heads/converter/gears/and tire height are what you need to look at matching up.

I already have headers, I have long tubes on my tru at the moment, and like I said a bigger fuel system, sounds like I just need to get a game plan together and pull the trigger haha
