I didn't do it either but I did put a couple of dents in it trying to get it out of my CAI. Doesn't seem to bother it but who knows for sure?

unless you calibrate for it do not do it. If you have HP Tuners, get yourself a ZO6 MAF calibration and use that.

will descreening the MAF give you any trouble???? why is it not worth it, no gains at all or just not worth the work????

Doesn't make a difference. I usually do it to every vehicle though. When porting and polishing the MAF or cleaning. Never once had a ill effect.
