Parish, budget? What is that?? I'm going to take my time and buy parts as I can afford them, so don't really have a budget. My main goal would be mid 12's, so what do you think my rwhp needs to be to get there? Would a 6.0 bored 30 over with forged internals (minus the crank), a turbo, and some spray get me there? I've got Hamm headers, 4.10s, posi, pulleys, and fans already, and I plan on adding a 3200-3400 stall with a FLP Level IV Trans. Thanks for the help man

Xlr8nss, Thanks for the info on the wastegate. I'm still trying to figure out turbos. I like the idea of a forged 370 with a turbo. A lot cheaper than the 408, which means I can have it done sooner.

No problem. Basically what you do is route all your exhaust to the turbine housing of the turbo. The wastegate is like a bypass for the exhaust and is boost activated. When you hit the boost level the wastegate is set for it opens and lets enough exhaust bypass the turbine so that no more boost is made than what you want.

Mid 12's should be REAL easy with a turbo setup. I'd say you'd only need around 420-450rwhp with that converter to hit mid 12's. That's assuming your truck weighs in the low-mid 4000 lb range. If you put a mild turbo setup on a 370ci motor I'd expect at least 11's once it's dialed in and IF you can hook it.

yup, for mid 12's you could just toss in the stock 6.0 and hit it with a 150shot, with traction and a few bolt on's you would be there easy. or a mild turbo set up. like John said, if you beef up the motor at all 11's will be easy with either turbo or nitrous, dont really need both.

i think with just the turbo and 409 i will be will into the 10's once i get everything worked out, the nitrous may never get used.
