Default Dickey cnc 5.3 heads

https://sdparts.com/details/scoggin-...center/sd8926c I have a 2004 5.3 (1999 pcm dbc)with 706 heads and a lunati 212/218 cam, LT headers and CAI in a 1992 chevy pickup. I would like to know what kind of power increase I can expect and will these heads keep my compression ratio stock or will it up the compression some. I did a search but can't seem to find any info on these heads except for Dickey's results.

I ran a set for a while on my 5.3. I would have them milled to get a little extra out of them. If I remember right my stock 5.3 heads had a better CR than these. BUT i'm not sure if the stock heads were milled or any work done to them before I bought this truck ( think something was done to them) but not to sure.

those are 799/243 castings so they will drop compression. you can mill them .010 to bring compression back up to 9.6:1 which is stock, but personally id go .040 just to have a little higher compression over stock

milling them .030 will make your CR 10:1, and milling them .040 will bump it to 10.18:1 or call it 10.2:1. These figures are using stock .051 head gasket with a 3.90 bore

I would call SDPC. I believe that is a miss print. 799 head's don't have a 60cc combustion chamber.

I believe they use 862 head castings for there 4.8/5.3 CNC heads.

I will give them a call. I figured they milled them to get that cc. It should be the same compression with that cc as stock. I just wanted to know if anyone new how much of a power increase these would give if any. Not much info on these on the web.

you will not notice a gain stock, have them milled for the win, or at least go with a thinner gasket.

He answered my thread on ls1tech and they are 799 heads milled to 60cc.

Those 799 heads milled by them are great heads.

Wow these flow about the same as stage 2 243 heads from WCCH.
Defiantly cheaper for about the same flow.
