Did a Compression Test...think I gotta problem..

Default Did a Compression Test...think I gotta problem..

just for ***** and giggles since my truck went from 382 to 317 on the dyno the other day i did a compression test on all the cylinders..the motor was warm and i unplugged the coil packs and open the throttle and crank it several revolutions like ive always done on my race cars...

#1 175 psi #2 150 psi

#3 164 psi #4 140 psi

#5 180 psi #6 170 psi

#7 155 psi #8 115 psi

That sucks man, If i were you i would just get some stock bore forged pistons and throw em in.

I figured thats what did it when you posted up in my ***** thread, I was gunna reply but BC padlocked it
and when the key was found i forgot all about it!

would it be alright to use the stock bore?? the motor when i got it had supposively 68k on the clock and ive only put around 4-5k on it

If it wasnt burning oil id say use it. Def. Check #8 to make sure the walls arent scared.
Id Mic. them all just to be safe.

If you change your oil on a reg. basis which im sure you do lol there shouldnt be much cyl. wear at all.

It would save you a couple hundred bucks and several hours.
If those walls are bad build a forged 370.

Matt put in some stock pistons with his engine still in the truck LOL.

Well at least you know why the sudden power drop. As much as it sucks you know what direction you need to take to fix her up now.
