well you got the nice new pro mod intake.... any word on if that helps the #7 = death problem??

Ive heard utilizing the steam ports on the back of the heads also helps #7, guess you have to trim a little intake to make the pipe fit?

started on it around noon today..took awhile to get up..spent 63.50 at the bar last night just now got back from goin back and payin my tab...anyways got the piston pulled out and didnt find anything to question about..sprayed some stuff down the int and ext runners and never leaked..head gasket didnt look too bad..anyone got any other opinions

How do the valves on the heads look? What about the springs?

i put some carb cleaner down the runners and they never leaked through..tomorrow ill pull them apart and look at the better

Did you remove your valve cover?

If the pistons look good its probably a valvetrain issue.

Im seeing alot of 5.3's and 6.0's leaking around the valve seat. level the head as best possible, pour some solvent in the combustion chambers and squirt air through the runners. Some leakage is normal but you should be able to tell if it's excessive

i did a valve job on this before i put these heads on..but it wouldnt surprise me..the heads are 241 5.7 ls1 heads
