Default Direct port all done and tested

I just got my direct port setup done saturday and ran my buddies trans am that runs low twelves and s**t on him. Then i race another guy that had a 70's trans am with a root style blower and slicks. He consistantly runs 11.85 at the track. I beat him by two cars. So i figure i am some where in the mid eleven range.

Right now the jets are setup for a 200 shot. I think i am going to bump it up to a 300 shot for next weekend. Just to make sure i stay ahead of some up comming competition. The only problem is now i run out of gear on the top end. I dont think i can go a full quarter mile with 4.10's. Any way here are some more pics of my secondary fuel system for the NOS setup.

how is it that everyone else running 4.10s has no problem with the quarter and you are? it's probably an obvious reason but explain please

I dont know very many people running in the mid ll's, but i have 26" tall drag radials that i use. I let off at about 6500. The people that i raced know what gear and rpm they're at when they run through the trap and they said i let off a little before the full quarter.

I figure if i am going to bump up the shot i am going to have to change the gears.

Yeah, 26" tires are not tall enough for 4.10's unless you want to rev the crap out of it.

3.73's will get you almost 120mph at 6000rpm and 130mph at 6500 with those tires.

408, you said nothing with all that. wouldn't moving the rev limit up a bit with the 4.10s change cure the problem?

No, because then it would take me out of my power range. My limiter is already at 7000 and with all the torque i have, i think it would slow me down if i didnt change my gears. Plus i would run into the factor of turning all that mass faster which is exactly what you dont want to do with a bigger ci motor.
