I didnt think the computer would let you shift into fourth. I tried adjusting my buddies shift rpm down in edit and it still wouldnt shift into fourth at wot. Plus i have heard that the shaft in fourth could twist in two with small amounts of hp. I dont think it could handle that much abuse in a 4l60e

Well then you add more mass which i dont really want. It gives you more side wall which is a good idea, but i dont know. I will have to think about that one. I can get a free set of 3.90's from my buddy at whipple. He isnt going to use them and he said i could have them if i want. That is the only reason i am kind of set on gears. Plus it is a bigger pinion.

I have never heard of anyone shifting into fourth at wot. I know my truck wont or any of my friends. We always have to let off to 3/4 before it will shift. GM sets it up that way so it saves the tranny i figured.

I've always viewed 4.10's as a great gear to have, but that was when my plans were N/A performance. Now that I'm gonna be spraying soon, I'm going back to 3.42's. With your suspension, locker, 3000 stall, and spraying the hell out of it, I don't think you should worry about getting out of the hole. You got that taken care of without the gears. Go with 3.42's and only shift into 2nd in the quarter. (you may get into third, but you will not come close to running out of gear) Plus, its stronger, which is always good when your layin down that kind of power.
