hey slow, for your truck to shift into 4th at wot you must be going well over 120mph, you do that 10 times daily?
i had my truck up to 136mph at 6000rpm in 3rd with 373's. it wont shift into 4th stock but i have been told it can with ls1edit, just have to tell it when to shift or keep it from downshifting. prety sure a vette and camaro will shift into 4th at wot. not sure how much power 4th will hold though, prety sure a built tranny adds ALOT of clutches in 4th.

408 on dp nitrous. Awesome setup man.
About shifting into 4th at wot. unless you program it with edit, it will not shift into 4th gear unless you are going 255mph look in edit under Trans Calibration.
I have noticed it feeling like it shifts, but what it is really doing is locking up the torque converter (feels like a shift)
If you wanted to shift into 4th gear at wot, make sure you buy one hell of a forged billet gear and lots of clutch packs.

4L60Es arent strong enough to live with a 4th gear shift with the power level you are talking about.A built 4L80E can take it,has better spaced gears and a shorter 4th gear.Go with the 4L80E with 4.56 gears.Speed in gears at 6000rpm with 26"Drag Radials would be 39/66/98/130 and the 6000rpm shift into 4th would only drop the revs to4500rpm.

Re: Direct port all done and tested
At one time i tried to adjust the rpm shift, but came to the conclusion that there must be an internal lock in the tranny. My tranny guy aggreed and said he could get rid of that. I dont know if he did, but i dont really want to try with all that torque like you guys said.

I've been to just under my shutoff of 128mph in 3rd and I really have no desire to ever go there again, unless I can get there ALOT quicker.
