Sounds like dis is going to be fun. I still am going to set everything up with the big shot before i race him though. Just because i know how some people are about close races.

First, that is a sweet truck. I hope my buddies direct port works that good. I bet people crap when you open your hood.
Matt you are probably feeling the Torque Converter Clutch appling, which does happen at WOT. I think with a Hypertech it moves to 100mph. My truck shifts in to 4 at 130 and has done it several times, usually once a week. I have a LS1 Edit and used that to adjust the shift points. When it takes to long to shift into 4, thats when I know to rebuild my tranny.

My drag car is about street worthy again so bench racing is getting heated. I just finished installing the Lexan maybe another week or so.

Yes .. definantly a TC lockup at 80. My Radix Tune had the TC lockup in 3rd as soon as it hit 3rd.
There is no way the 4th gear clutch pack can handle that much power. That is the same clutch pack as reverse, and I think we all know what kind of problems reverse has. I think I about burned up my transmission stock from pulling my 2000 pound boat in D and not 3.
Sorry to hit on a dead topic, but I just thought I would throw my 2 cents worth in.
By the way .. I think the transmission has some sort of kick down type thing in it. My shift kit made it stay in 2nd .. period, if I would roll into the throttle. It I would just hammer it, it would down shift, then shift back to 2nd instantly almost. Sounded/felt real hard on the tranny so I had to remember to roll into it to avoid the kickdown.
