do i have enough exhaust?
i put a 2000 5.3/4l60e in my jeep wrangler, it doesnt have alot of low end torque, so im thinking maybe i dont have enough exhaust.
i have truck headers, with 2 1/4 exhaust running into magnaflows that have a 2.5 inch core, then back to 2 1/4 ehaust with a turndown. my total exhaust length is 4 feet on each side, there is no crossover, it is true duals.
its really all i had room for, otherwise i would have run a single 3 inch with a cat and all.
Is this possibly part of my problem with not having much low end torque?
i had wait4me performance tune it mailorder style.
i am also wondering if the 5.3's have intake gasket leak problems like the older vortecs? i dont think its leaking, i just want to know if its something to look out for.

i have 3.73 gears and 31's. my mufflers are on opposite sides of the transmission and transfercase. so im not sure howe to X them, its all tucked up under a wranger, there isnt any room for crossovers and stuff underneath.

Unless your pushing power (blower) thru the exhaust, the true duals will kill your low end TQ. Go single in single out and turned down, and you'll notice much more TQ. Your losing to much back pressure from your set up.

so you think i need to Y the exhaust, and run one muffler. is 3 inch to big? in order to run a y, i will have to custom make headers for it. there is no place to run the exhaust from one side to the other except under the oilpan, and i would need a front dump header on the drivers side. i cant use blockhuggers, they hit the motormounts.
