Question Do I have everything for a fan install?

I've read hours upon hours of LS1/LT1 fan install info and just wanna' be sure I have EVERYTHING I need before proceeding with the install:

1> Set of LS1 fans with factory pigtails
2> Flexalite VSC controller
3> Fan mounting kit

Is this all I need, or do I need a manual switch and some relays as well? I would like to be able to control/override the fans if necessary by being able to let them run on the thermoswitch settings, being able to turn them on when I want and being able to turn them off when I want. Would I need a 3 pos. toggle for this, or will the VSC and a regular 2 pos. toggle work?

Also, i have a wiring diagram which runs the wires frm the fan into 2 relays and also into the ECU, is this a completely different setup? It looks like this has been used in place of the VSC, correct? If I'm wrong can someone please point me in the right direction? I printed out these directions and they seem pretty thorough: http://james.jaguar.net/agreif/fans/fanstech.htm but he didn't wire up a manual switch. I guess what I need to know, if I do have all the parts I need, what do I need to do to wire up a manual switch that will funtion as I want it to?

Thanks a lot guys, I know this topic has been beat to death, but I can't find this info. anywhere!!

I got it from my "stash"!! LMAO I just dug up some stainless screws, nuts, bolts and washers from my bins and used some nice thichpieces of aluminum from Lowe's that you can by in different lengths, widths and thicknesses down by their screws and nails and stuff..real cheap and nice looking stuff. I'm just gonna cut it and drill holes as needed when I get ready for the install. The link to the website above gives you a materials list of what you'd need for your own install kit ,instead of actually ordering one someone has put together and is gonna charge you 10x more than they have in it!!

Good luck and LMK how it goes for ya'! Are you gonna wire up a manual switch too? If so what plans do you have for it?

The VSC has pins that you hook a grounded switch to for manual operation. With the VSC you won't need any extra relays or to hook anything into the stock computer.

To wire up the manual switch on the VSC just hook a wire to the correct pin(in the instructions) and run it to a on/off switch in the cab of the truck. Then run the wire from the other side of the switch to a good chassis ground inside the truck. You will then have manual control of the fans through that switch.

Good luck with the install.
