Do I Need To Degree my Cam?
I was wondering if I will need to degree my cam when I install it?
It was a custom grind to work with my Radix system.
If I do, what all does it involve and what all do I need?
Which tool brand and part #'s will be the great if possible.

line up the marks on the sprockets and there's only one way the cam sprocket can go on the end of the cam.... other than that, I dont know... unless you are doing a ground up build where you'd need to install a cam from scratch... re-camming your existing truck is simple enough.

Piece of cake dude, just get a degree wheel and go with whats on the cam card. once you bolt the wheel to the crank just bend a piece of coathanger to line up with the zero (Where ever it may be) you'll need a dial indicator, and a lifter that will slide up/down in the hole without sticking. I'll send you a degree wheel & dial gauge to use, but I don't have a lifter for the ls motors..

Sounds good to me.
I'm still skeptical about this LS2 timing chain and gear set I have from the GM parts department. I'm not worried about it not being a LS2 timing chain set, but it looks really wimpy. The timing chain sets are the same in the LQ9 and LS2 engines. I had the parts guy pull up the chain and gear's part numbers for both engine codes.
The part numbers came back the same for both. The "are" GM factory replacement parts.
Does anyone know if this chain will be fine or is there a better one I should have purchased?

I have checked several and have always been dead on. The only way it would be wrong is if the dowl hole in the front was not positioned properly when it was ground which is highly unlikely. IMO the only reason to put a degree wheel on one is if you are actually wanting to change the intake centerline set-up. This requires a special timing gear set of course.
