Default Do Transgo Kits Break IN?????

Ive had my Transgo kit+vette servo for about a month now and I have started to think that the shifts dont feel as firm as they did say the 1st week or so I had them on my truck! Do these kits break in? It isnt me getting used to it becauase it used to shift almost hard and it has really gottne alot lighter. It way firmer than stock but it is def not as firm as it was at first! Anyone with a Transgo kit and servos or either one did you notice them change? Thanks for the help!

Did you upgrade to aluminum accumulator pistons when you put it in? If not you may have cracked one or both of them. The plastic ones tend to crack when you have a lot of line pressure. So if you had Allan up your line pressure on the tune any then added the transgo and servo, this could be a likely assumption.

To answer your other question... No. Mine acted a little funny right after installing it but I believe that was just due to some trash from my install getting flushed thru the vavebody.

I put a Transgo kit + Vette servo in mine about 2 months ago and it started shifting harder and harder. So this weekend I took the washers out of the second gear accumulator piston and it still shifts quite firm but not harsh.

Yeah I upgraded the accum when it was done and Allen put my line rpessure back to stock as recommended. Its inot liek its night and day but it just seems liek it got a little lighter! Everything is running great! Its shift perfect on time and all that! Knock on wood! I was just wondering!

I just got mine from the trans shop yesturday and haven't been WOT yet but at part throttle the 1-2 just slams and the other shifts feel almost the same as before the kit I still have the first nelson tune with raised line pressure in it right now, the blower tune will go in this week with lowered line pressure, maybe that will help....

They put in the Transgo, aluminum fwd accumulator piston kit, aluminum pinless accumulator pistons, a servo release check valve and my Eaton posi

hopefully it will feel better as it gets more miles on it

There is a shift adaptation learning process in the
PCM's transmission control. It tries to barely make
the cycle time in its table. If your shift kit makes
the transmission naturally shift faster, the shift
adaptation process will probably back off on the
applied pressure during shifts because it doesn't
need as much to get the job done. This might
account for some reduction in the "hardness" of
shifts, from what you feel immediately after install.
If you went into the adaptation-time tables and
programmed them all down to nothing, you would
get it all back I reckon.

I dont think we will have to worry about this one

plus it was the transmission not the shift kit that was the problem.
or lack of transmission

What do you mean by "a little funny". Mine did also, so I was wondering if it were the same symptons.
