The standard rear end should be referred to as an open differential. Most dealers around here don't order the posi for most of the trucks on the lot. Don't worry though you'll want to get an Eaton anyway because the GM posi is a POS.

Eaton builds the OEM G80,it won't lock over 20MPH and it's weak.If you are looking to add a posi go with the Eaton posi with the carbon fibre clutches or an Auburn Pro.My Radix Tahoe would spin one tire from a punch when I had the G80,my Auburn Pro is much better.Besides I destroyed the G80 at the track after just a few passes.

what abot an e-locker? im looking into changing the g80 i have now, got stock in the snow and only 1 tire spun. and benifits to the eaton e-locker compared to anythign else? im thinkign of going 4.10 and the e in the spring
