Alright, if the ICL is 110 (+4), here is what I get
212/218 @ 114 + 4
.006 valve events
Intake Valve opens - IVO 22.5
Intake Valve closes - IVC 62.5
Exhaust Valve Opens - EVO 73.5
Exhaust Valve Closes - EVC 17.5
Exhaust Centerline - ECL 118
Overlap 40
.050 valve events
Intake Valve opens - IVO -4
Intake Valve closes - IVC39
Exhaust Valve Opens - EVO 47
Exhaust Valve Closes - EVC -9
Exhaust Centerline - ECL 118
Overlap -13

So, yes lsa is a decent indicator for overlap...I didn't mean to nail anyone on this, but I just wanted to let people know that there IS more to it than just picking a "good blower cam" because it has a high lsa number. ***I made this $350 mistake by picking a high lsa cam that in actuality has a fair amount of overlap thinking it was a good blower cam based solely on the lsa. I didn't want others to make a poor choice in cams.
Overlap plays a large part in cams. And too many people when talking about lsa (although it is a fair indicator) [directly] equate it with how much overlap a camshaft has.
-SportSide 5.3 has a very good hang on this stuff. Thanks for posting up man you helped me learn too. Thanks!
