Does it matter where the muffler is placed??

Default Does it matter where the muffler is placed??

ok on my tbss im wondering if it will sound quieter if i put the muffler at the rear bumper or will it be the same as if i left it in the same general area as the stock set up?

So by placing the mufflet at the rear bumper area it wont be as loud in the truck as if i had it under the pass seat?

Correct. The less pipe there is on the exit side of the muffler, the smoother and less resonant it will be. You can also install a use a small muffler or resonator either before or after the rear axle, depending on where the muffler goes, to quiet it down even more.

Norcal lets see some pics of your nice ride. The TBSS's are sweet as hell. The other guys hit the nail on the head about placement. I would suggest a corsa exhaust NO resonance in the cab even on my setup with lt headers no cats and a 418 pushing WAY more exhaust gas then a normal motor and still quiet as a mouse at cruise.
