Does this price seem low for a magnaflow muffler?
So I originally ordered the magnaflow 12589 (it's the big 22" one) via "4wheelonline." I guess something happened and the order didn't go through. So I called up this local guy that did my dyno earlier and he got it for me for $87! (Lowest price online was $100 with shipping). I could not believe it. For several years now I've pretty much been buying everything online because it's usually a lot cheaper, but this guy said he can get all kinds of parts. Oh, and I had the muffler in my possession 3 hours later. No waiting on shipping

Honestly, I'm doing this more to get rid of the restrictive stock muffler, I'm not the type of person that wants a car you can hear 3 blocks away. Hopefully, this gives a nice, deep, but mellow sound with little to no drone in the cab.

I got it put in today. Cost me $40. Some day I'd like to learn to weld and get a nice garage full of every tool so I could do everything myself. I've really come to like wrenching.
Anyways, it does drone inside the cab, especially around 1700 rpm it tends to get the loudest. It's really quiet on idle and gets progressively louder. It's not an aggressive sound at all, more just like a deep rumble. It's not gonna turn any heads. I've read that maggies tend to get a little louder over time though. On the highway at 60mph it's not even noticeable. At 70, it's noticeable but not that loud inside.
We'll see if it grows on me. I'm so used to the quiet stock muffler. As far as performance gains, I don't think there's any difference. At least I don't notice anything.
