The answer I was looking for...

I was looking at getting the 18" magnaflow...do you have the 14"?

I think so. The case is 4x9xsmallest in stainless. Most are 5x11xwhatever.

I have four mufflers on the truck now and have learned a few things through the various revisions of the exhaust system. I've found that resonating tones from the exhaust are best reduced by keeping the pipe after the muffler as short as possible. In fact, turn-downs right out of the muffler work well for certain types - it can be loud but not resonate at the same time.
If you've got a system that you mostly like but want to eliminate the resonance, install a 4" diameter Magnaflow with 3" in/out as close to the tailpipe exit as possible.

Its more about placement get a good muffler like magnaflow and place it after the cab, make sure the dump is after the rear axle.

colby, whenever you want to hear mine let me know, I just installed a single 3"borla, I couldnt be happier it sounds damn good, I have mine coming out in front of the rear tire, but sammy has the same setup and it dumped after the axle, his sounds really good, he lives close to me so maybe you can hear/ride in both trucks if you want...

I would like a side exit behind the wheel...but now I'm concerned that it may cause the muffler to resonate...

Thanks for the offer AP, I'll keep it in mind
