Default dont want to screw anything up (driving w/ open headers)

ok i installed my LT headers last thur. and ordered a bunch of stuff for my exhaust install which will be delivered thur-fri and finished this weekend, but i need to drive my truck and i know i shouldnt drive with open headers. im not worried about the law i just dont want to tear up anything on my truck. i have heard that driving w/ open headers can mess up o2 sensors and make my truck run rich (i think) and that i could also burn up a valve. im going to fab me up a temporary pipe to keep me from tearing anything up. my question is how long or a pipe? if i just put a 2' pipe on the end of the headers will it help or do i need to go bigger.

I Drove Mine Open Header For 2 Days...about 30 Miles Total. Nothing Happened. I Just Wouldnt Beat On It. Mine Never Even Threw Any Codes, It Would Just Keep Running For A Few Seconds After I Turned It Off. Besides That, Nothing.....

Unplug the front o2's ... all will be fine.

18" is the required amount of pipe past the o2's.

I've driven around lots with them unplugged and I've had a few others do the same until they could get everything welded back in place. No negative complaints from unplugging them.

I HAVE had reports of fouling plugs and not running with them hooked up running open headers.
