THought I would add a little more to my theory.

With the sensors unplugged, they read a constant ~450mv. That means they are EXACTLY where the PCM wants them to be. When they sit there, no changes to the fuel trims are made. During WOT, the o2's aren't looked at, so as long as your tune is good to go, there won't be any issues.

WIth the o2's plugged up, the fuel trims will continue to go positive. The reason for that is the fresh air hitting the o2's from the 3-6 inches of piping behind them.
