It probably wouldn't hurt going down the track but around corners is where your gonna notice it the most. The rears not so bad cause its light but the front without a bar is going to be a bigger difference cause of all that extra weight. Just be prepared to take corners a little slow and some extra body roll.

Don't remove it. Our trucks handle like dog doo as it is, removing the front sway bar on any vehicle make the handling 10times worse. trust me, I drove a Mustang for 3 yrs with no front bar and my T/A for 2yrs that way. It's cool if you want a drag car/truck but it is a much better and safer idea to simply removed your end links when you wanna race and rewplace them for daily driving. 40lbs for a sway bar is not going to make or break you on the street although trying to make an emergency steering maneuver might just break YOU

I took my front sway bar off at the beginning of last season thinking it would help with the launch. I cut consistent 1.67 60 ft times all season. It drove like an old worn out Ford truck. Felt way unsafe. At the end of the season I finally gave in and put it back on and guess what? It kept cutting 1.67's and on the last time out last season it went 1.63 with the sway bar installed. I wouldn't take it off for any reason.

I agree with everything you guys have said. Don't do it, its definately NOT worth it. I disconnected my 69's and it was one scarry ride on the street! Very un-safe especially with drag shocks and springs...hehehe. Anyway, the front needs the sway bar the most, and as stated above, it didn't net me any gains at the track either! More problems than its worth.
