The pedal has a reostat just bolts in. ITs a complete set up, pedal, bracket, reostat, wiring etc. Anyone getting a diesel make sure you get the pedal as well.

Should I just pull that from the donor truck?

I Love your idea of a dmax in the burban! Really a dmax in anything would be great! Here is a couple diff links of dmax swaps.

The last link is some friends of mine, If you have any questions they might have some answers for you on the swap.

I have talked to a lot of 6.2L detriot diesel owners, most say their chevy trucks will get mid 20's and they are all on 4.11 gears and 3 spd trannies. Mine has a 700r4 and 3.42 rear. It gets awesome mileage, but has no guts. Its a trade off I can live with. It is like driving a 4.3L pickup, it has descent enough power, but nothing impressive.

Thanks a lot. I have seen the C-10 and Chevelle before and read about them, and they both are amazing vehicles. Because of the fact that I would have to modify my floor so much to fit the allison, I am looking at the 4l80e from the duramax vans because i understand there is a slight difference between mine and the ones used for the duramaxs. Byt the way, I love the intercooler in the cab of the C-10.

There was also a conversion done to another Chevelle on the show "pimp my Ride". Probably the only nice car that was ever built there! There's a guy who swapped a DMax in a 1500, pics are floating around somewhere. There's guy on tech who dropped one inside his F-body...but it's the 6.5 not the Dmax...

Yeah I definitely want to go with the dmax...I'm thinking EFILive, PPE dual fueler dual cp3's, twin turbo (maybe 66mm into a 74mm), 5" exhaust, fire ringed heads, ARP studs, stage II ATS injectors, 150gph Airdog fuel-air separator, Banks intercooler. You know, stick with what I know best...diesel
