Don't let Trever1T find out you're not running any cats hahaha

Seriously though, you'll notice a big gain of power with the headers. The biggest gain is up top. Should add a solid 20rwhp after a tune.

As far as cats/no cats, I believe Dynatech uses ceramic cats...supposedly they rob 5hp. If you are paying $1200 for a 20rwhp gain, why negate 25% of the gains with cats? Magnaflow center spun metallic cats are probably the best cats out now with the highest flow rates, I've heard their power loss is negligible because they flow so well. They are pricey though.

If you run the catted system I'd stick with the cats that comes with it. Don't know how keen you are on hacking up a $1200 direct bolt on system to run different cats. As far as no cats, idk, my butt dyno isn't that sensitive to pick up 5 hp. I've got the full system with cats on my truck and am very happy with them.

You can order the system from Dynatech with an off road Y pipe (no cats). It's $2-300 cheaper.

is that the set up i would want? i mean like is there a better LT system? i guess what iam trying to say is where does dynatech make the power (bottom, mid, top end) and would say american racing exhaust or even a different company be better for my application (being lifted and needing low end power)
and i know primarys and colector size and allthat stuff plays a big part but i just dont know how. and ive searched too and found some info so dont hack on me to bad haha

i like mine...definetly is louder... and there is a power gain but you will need tuning to get the most out of it and any mod you do

I don't see why you wouldn't be able to order them, but you're going to have to put the system back to stock every time you go to get the truck inspected
